Get In and Get Some Rest
Travelers from the U.S. and Canada are required to obtain an eVisa before traveling to Brazil. The application is completed online and requires a recent photograph of the applicant, along with a photo of the applicant's passport bio page. Additional documentation is required for minors under 18 years. Processing typically takes approximately 10 business days; however, we recommend applying at least 20 days before departure to allow sufficient time for approval.
For your added comfort, you will have an English-speaking guide waiting for you outside of customs with a sign with your name on it. Your representative will help you to co-ordinate meeting up with your private driver and accompany you to your accommodation.

Travel to Cosme Velho and board the scenic train through Tijuca Forest to Corcovado Mountain, rising 2,300 feet above Rio. At the summit, take in sweeping views of the city’s dramatic coastline, mountains, and landmarks, with Christ the Redeemer standing above it all. Named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, this iconic Art Deco statue offers one of Rio’s most memorable viewpoints. After time to enjoy the panorama, continue to Fogo de Chao for a classic Brazilian barbecue lunch before returning to your hotel.
Tonight, round-trip car service is included to the Rio de Janeiro restaurant of your choice. Restaurant reservations will be confirmed at time of booking and are subject to availability at Lasai, or others. Dinner is at your own expense.
This evening prepare to celebrate with an exclusive number of guests including celebrities, politicians, and other high profile individuals as you experience one of the most elegant and iconic events in the world - the Gala Ball at Belmond Copacabana Palace. Each year the hotel is designed with a different theme that represents the main theme of the Carnival festival for that year. Aside from luxurious costumes, the design of the hotel is intended to transport you to a magical place. Join the standing room only action and dance the night away to the iconic Samba music of Brazil, with live bands in every ballroom to ensure music is found in every corner of the Palace.
Kindly note - this is a black tie event and a dress code is imposed on guests. Generally speaking, men are expected to wear their best suits/tuxedos, and women are meant to wear floor-length gowns. Be picked up from your hotel this morning for a cable car visit to the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain. Known around the world as the cities picture-postcard site, this is a must visit for anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro. Due to its popularity, long lines can be regularly experienced when visiting this mountain, and so a fast track (line bypass) ticket is included in your tour, including VIP lounge reception at the first cable car station. Upon reaching the top of Sugar Loaf at 1,299 feet (396 meters) above sea level, admire the views of Niteroi, Copacabana, and Santa Cruz Fortress. Whichever way you look, the city is a delight of sweeping beaches, sparkling water and green peaks. At the summit there are some clearly marked trails where you can potentially see some wildlife as well as an opportunity to escape the crowds. Take your time enjoying these once-in-a-lifetime views before descending back down on the cable cars.
Upon your descent from the peak of Sugarloaf Mountain, you'll have the opportunity to take to the skies and enjoy even more magnificent views of Rio de Janeiro on a brief helicopter tour. Ascend high above the 'Marvelous City', taking in sweeping views of Vermelha Beach, Sugarloaf Mountain, Leme Hill, and many more sites. After the seven minute circuit, you will return to Sugarloaf Helipad where your guide and driver will be waiting to return you to your hotel.

Witness Rio’s Carnival at its most iconic, revered as “The Greatest Show on Earth,” where samba, spectacle, and celebration transform the Sambadrome into one of the world’s grandest stages. From a shared VIP Box in Sector 7, enjoy one of the best vantage points along the parade avenue. With private transfers and your guide, arrive at Oscar Niemeyer’s iconic stadium to watch samba schools fill the night with dancers, drums, and spectacular floats before returning to your hotel at your preferred time.
