The most well-known market is Christkindlmarkt the "market of Child Jesus" located in Marienplatz, the central square in Munich. Live music is performed on the balcony of the town hall daily during the Christmas market. Just a short walk away is the Fair of Nativity, possibly one of the largest in Germany. In addition to this famous market, every quarter of the city has its own market for you to explore.
