Yes, many of the sights on this walk are very picturesque but be warned that there is much development ongoing throughout Ubud that cannot be avoided. From Ubud to Munduk, today you'll venture further into the mountains of Bali. After breakfast, begin the drive with a panoramic jaunt towards Mount Batukaru and into the UNESCO-listed rice fields of Jatiluwih. Take in the seemingly endless views while learning about the techniques used by Balinese farmers and afterwards set off to visit Pura Luhur Batukaru, located on the slopes of Mount Batukaru. Pura Luhur Batukaru is one of the nine main temples on Bali and is surrounded by lush forest some 4,250 feet above sea level. This temple has existed since approximately the 11th century, used as a place of worship and a place for meditation. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Munduk, a mountain village nestled in the Balinese highlands.

At the heart of the experience at Munduk Moding Plantation are a number of unique participative activities that reveal a particular part of North Bali's hill culture.
