Africa - "I am writing this letter to compliment the services we were given on our trip to Morocco which occurred March 11th through March 22nd. Three of us(myself, my husband and our 29 year old daughter) experienced a memorable and very educational and fun time during our journey through Morocco. This trip was a private tour of 11 days with a driver and a guide, and although it was a bit pricey, it was well worth it!!! Money well spent!!! We arrived at the airport in Casablanca and our our driver, Younes was waiting for us and whisked us off to Le Meridian Royal Mansour hotel in the city. Younes explained that he would be our driver throughout the whole trip. He said we should start by getting some rest and that he and the guide would be picking us up the following morning at 9am. Exhausted from our long travels we decided to eat dinner at the hotel and then retire right after. The following morning we met Lahsen Zaaim. Lahsen would also be with us for the entire trip and would teach us all about Morocco...(and we believe he did accomplish that by the end of our visit, we learned so much!). From day one, we realized we were in such good hands. Both Younes and Lahsen had our arranged plans, but they explained that we could make changes and that they were also flexible when we decided to do things differently... Lahsen was so knowledgable. We learned we could ask any question and we learned so much about the country, its politics, religious beliefs, and especially about the Moroccan people. From Casablanca, to Rabat, to Fes(my favorite), to Ourzazate, the Sahara desert, and Marrakech-WOW!!! We felt safe, saw a lot, learned much and had so much fun! We felt as though we had made friends in Younes and Lahsen. We loved our accommodations! Our first riad was in Fes, the Riad Laaroussa and it was remarkable! Looked like nothing from the street, but when the doors opened- we entered into a courtyard with a fountain and grass, trees, and the warmest hospitality!!! FZ was our greeter, and from the moment we entered made sure that everything was perfect for us. We even met the owners, Fred and Kathy, and we felt like family there. FZ was our greeter and took such fabulous care of us at the riad- she was there for our every need, but most of all, she was genuinely warm and hospitable. The biggest surprise at the riad was the rooftop veranda overlooking Fes- just spectacular!!! We enjoyed our breakfasts up there and sometimes would sneak up there in the evenings after dinner to take it all in!!! Fes took you back in time...the medina with all the vendors on the curvy narrow streets...and all the handiwork that was being done there- like the tiling mill we visited, the weaving, the leather production, rugs, brass etching...it was still all being done by people with their hands...amazing talent and hard work, made you appreciate the quality! From Fes, it was the ride to the desert area and Ouarzazate...the views on our drive through this beautiful country was truly beautiful. The snow capped mountains, the desert-something to behold! One of our favorite events was our trip into the Sahara for our camel ride in the dunes led by Ali, who was fun and animated and made us laugh! Our camel trek took us into the Sahara sands where we climbed to the top of a dune and sat there and watched the beautiful sunset!!! Climbing back onto the camels, we were dropped off at our personal camp site- but unlike camping conditions- our camp was colorful and carpeted and our beds comfortable and we actually had running water with a shower and flushing toilet- in the Sahara!!! I believe it's what we now call glamping!!! Remarkable!!! Did I mention the food! Everywhere we went the food was plentiful and delicious. The flavors of Morocco surpassed what we had expected! The couscous, the lamb, the chicken, with lots of vegetables(called tajines), and of course scrumptious desserts followed! Did I mention the mint tea- yummy! And the Moroccan wine was also nice! >>>>>> Our riad in Ouarzazate was Ksar Ighnda, gorgeous and big rooms, good food! While in Marrakech we scheduled a hot air balloon ride outside the city- FUN! We had dinner one evening at the Italian restaurant at the hotel La Mamounia -spectacular atmosphere and great food! And lastly, the riad in Marrakech was located for easy getting around. La Maison Arabe was lavish with oversized rooms and with a few different restaurants(we tried both-and again were pleased!). Breakfast buffets were plentiful and the atmosphere was a great way to start our days in Marrakech. My daughter and I also splurged and recieved hammams/massages at the spa at the hotel on our last day there. A treat to behold! From day one till the end, the trip was A+...it will remain as one of the top trips we've taken(the only trip to compete with it was our South Africa/safari trip- and that was totally a different type of trip)! We can honestly say that our trip to Morocco was a trip of a lifetime and we want to thank all that had a part in it! Asia - "Sarah, Our trip was fabulous. Our guides in Japan were good and the choice of things to do and places to eat was great. In Beijing our guide was fabulous. Rainbow is by far the best guide we have ever had, she knew so much about what we were seeing and she was very enthusiastic about answering our questions. Her command of the English language was better than a lot of Americans. In Shanghai, we loved Ping too. She was enthusiastic and wanted desperately to be sure we had a great time, and we did. Our guide in Suzhou was also very good. We learned so much about the culture in both countries.The choices of restaurants in China were all fabulous, we really enjoyed them. Asia - "Hi Sarah, We just love love Japan so much and thinking of going back sometime in the future. Been telling all of our friends about this trip. I just love to give you my feedback on this trip. First and foremost, Kyoko, our guide was very nice and knowledgeable, we loved her. We loved the country which was so clean and the people of Japan was so polite. Tokyo was incredible, but the other places also great. We loved all the hot springs in all of these hotels. In fact, I think I got hooked! Over all, again, we loved this trip and the itinerary, but would opt for less Shrines and Temples. Thanks for your help putting together this incredible trip. We'll be back for sure! South America - "We have just returned from another fabulous traveling experience provided by Kensington. Our family trip to Argentina exceeded all expectations. The cooking school in Buenos AIres, the boat ride and zip lining at Iguazu Falls, and the glacier walk and visit to Estancia Christina in Patagonia were highlights of 10 wonderful days in a beautiful country. As always Kensington and their reprsentatives in- country were flawless in their arrangements and attention to detail. The accomodations were wonderful,especially the Patagonia Queen in El Calafate. The guides were excellent and knowledgeable and the activities were arranged perfectly. We have taken numerous trips planned by Kensington over the past 6 years and this one to Argentina was an incredible experience just as all the others have been. Africa - "We loved everything about this trip. We knew it would be a bit challenging because of the distance and traveling with two teenage girls, but everything was planned perfectly. The hotels were better than I even expected, the staff very friendly and the acommodations beautiful. Having a limited amount of time, the itinerary was chosen very wisely allowing us to see several different areas of Morocco without overdoing the driving and hotel hopping. Africa - "My trip was back in September 2009, but it has left such a wondrful and lasting impression on me that I felt the need to come back and tell you again how pleased I am to have traveled with Kensington. My mother and I traveled through Kenya and Tanzania, ending in Zanzibar. The wildlfie migration had just arrived in Masai Mara, and the sheer number of animals was overwhelming! Ngorogoro was also stunning, and the lodge there is fabulous. As incredible as the scenery, culture, and wildlife were, the absolute highlight of our trip was having Waziri Mzee as our guide. Beyond just being an outstanding guide with an intuitive sense of how both people and wildlife operate, he is just a gem of a person. Truly one of the best people I've ever met anywhere - it was a privilege to spend time with him, I wish he could have come with us to Zanzibar as well! Of course he is not the only great person within your organization - Sam, the Serengeti tent camp host, and James, our liaison in Nairobi, were both so professional and always went the extra mile to make sure we were having a good time. Getting calls while on the road from James to see how we were doing really assured me that Kensington is a company that cares about incredible experiences more than the bottom line. Due to the undescribably positive memories of that trip, when traveling anywhere in the world (or recommending to anyone who is headed abroad), Kensington will always be my first choice." Europe - "We did indeed have a fabulous trip. We found Spain to be a beautiful country filled with culture and history. The trip was well planned and organized. Our guides in Madrid and Granada were fantastic. Due to the strike, we were unable to explore the Albaicin area, Arab quarters in Granada. Instead, our family got caught in the middle of live protests in the downtown area. Frankly, we found it exciting and my husband actually captured some footage on our camera! The hotels, service, transportation service were great...we have no complaints. In fact, we were relieved that arrangements were made quite promptly when the ave service was shut down due to the strike. Thank you for all your help in arranging a wonderful trip for us. Europe - "We travel several times a year, and more frequently as time passes. This is only the second time we have used an agency for a big trip. The other trip was several years ago, it was a local travel agency and it went OK. Our concerns with agencies has always been related to quality, price and value. This was our 25th anniversary and we decided to go with an agency and piled on everything we could think of. We were pleasantly surprised and felt we had a quality trip at real value to the point where the price was very reasonable. We felt we couldn’t have done as well doing it ourselves. Central America - "Hi Claudia, I just wanted to let you know that our Costa Rica trip that you arranged was fantastic! We had a great time, everything went as planned, the hotels were great, and the drivers were friendly and gave my daughter spanish lessons on the way from points A to B. Our nature guides were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly. We really enjoyed the private guides' personal attention. The zip line with Sky Tram in Arenal was awesome with all of us loving it. You gave us a great cross section of the country in the short amount of time we had for the trip, packing in lots of learning and fun in the process. I also separately booked horseback riding for myself and the kids through Hotel Si Como No, and it was the most wonderful horseback riding experience I have ever had. It was just the three of us at the ranch outside of Manuel Antonio, accompanied by a wrangler (Miguel) and guide (Willie). We got to canter all over the pastures, tried lots of different fruits off the trees, watched the birds, and watched them lasso a cow. (They had to give it a shot.) I highly recommend it, even for those who have no riding experience. Anyway, thanks for all you did arranging this trip, and I would not hesitate to use you and your company again for international travel. Well Done!! " Melanie, 2012

Australia & Pacific - "We are back and still reliving the memories of our three weeks in New Zealand and Fiji. From start to finish, everything was beyond our expectations. The whole trip was seamless, there was never a moment of anxiety, only anticipation. Our boutique hotels were absolutely five star and I can’t comment enough about the graciousness and helpfulness of everyone we encountered .The drivers, guides, and transportation were all first rate and the people all went the extra mile. Australia & Pacific - "Today is the last day of our Grand Oz Adventure with Kensington Tours; tomorrow we leave for Sydney and then on to New Zealand. I loved the variety of experiences we had, from the great cities of Melbourne and Adelaide, to the "Outback" with it's vast open spaces and red earth, rocks and canyons, to the grasslands around Darwin and on to the Tropical Forests and Great Barrier Reef near Port Douglas. Australia & Pacific - "just to thank you for the arrangements you made for our trip – we got back on Wednesday . All the hotels were good – staff were very helpful - but we especially enjoyed the Silky Oaks Lodge – a beautiful place in a beautiful setting! We also enjoyed the helicopter ride over the reef – I sat at the front next to the pilot so had the best view!!! We had good weather for all our excursions – albeit it a little too hot and humid on some occasions – and the Sounds of Silence dinner at Ayers Rock was a another highlight for me personally. What a unique experience. We even got to see the performance of The Merry Widow at the Sydney Opera House after thinking we would not make it back to Sydney from Cairns in time because of a strike by Quantas! The other plus was having transportation arranged between the hotels and the airports – that made it so much more relaxing knowing you were going to be picked up and dropped off without the hassle of getting on and off airport shuttles etc. (We even had a white stretch limousine pick up us on one occasion!). Our only shock – how expensive everything was- especially the cost of eating out! Thank goodness for credit cards!! Egypt to India - "Another 5 star "WOW" vacation. This was our 2nd Kensington tour of Egypt ( two years in a row ) and my daughter and I would do it again in a heart beat. We particularily enjoyed the White Desert and the Red Sea. The Egyptians are very gracious people. We were well looked after and always felt safe. We are emailing and facebooking friends we have made there. We were in Egypt last Jan and were curious about the results from the revolution. I would like to highlight our experience with Mohammad in Cairo and Saad in Luxor - very different but both great. Each was incredibly knowable and the enthusiasm that Saad exhibited was amazing. Also, kuddos to our driver in Jordan - Abraham. A kind, gentle man with excellent English and should fall somewhere between driver and guide. He really made a difference for the 2 of us. Europe - "We just returned back from our trip to Russia. What else can I say but it was a trip of a lfetime. We were fairly nervous travelling into a country where we could not speak or read the language. We were met at the plane by a Kensington representative and taken directly to our hotel. Everything fell into place. Our tour guides were very knowledgable and spoke very clear English. If we had extra time they suggested activities and pointed out restaurants and other places of interest. Our only complaint was with the seats we had at the Bolshoi ballet. We could not see the stage and thus left early. That was the only change we would make on our trip. From hotels to tour guides to transportation, we felt safe and well taken care of. Egypt to India - "We just got back from our wonderful journey to 12 day tour of Egypt and Jordan. We had traveled to India with Kensington in 2009 so we knew that we would be in good hands. We had a wonderful worry free holiday- Kensington took care of us every step of the way. We were met upon arrival and whisked off to our hotel and we looked out to see the pyramids right from our room! When it was a bit foggy in the morning our guide just switched things around so we could be outdoors after the fog cleared. When we had a plane delay, our local guide just switched things around so we still got to see all the sites we had scheduled. We had a lovely visit in Cairo, a 3 day cruise down the Nile and a fantastic trip to Amman. through Petra and ended at the Dead Sea in Jordan. Our guides Iman and Sam in Egypt and Joseph in Jordan were awesome. They were flexible and were so informative and friendly. We felt very relaxed with them. We would recommend Kensington tours!" Africa - "Our trip was great for all in the three generation family group. The driver/guides were both A+, accommodations, food, etc. were all up to or beyond expectations. Mara West, our start, was beautiful! Kensington Serengetti, new and needs a little up grading, and location was not as spectacular as the rest. Tented Crater was wonderful with views of elephants across the valley from our roost. Amboseli was a wonderful ending stay with pool and a fantastic parade of elephants in the evening. Our favorite event was visiting the Sheldrick Orphan Elephant project! The Karen Brixen Museum (her home) was fascinating for my daughters aand me. Egypt to India - "My wife and I had a magical 10 day holiday with Kensington Tours. The Nile River cruise part of the tour was more than fantastic. We had never done a river cruise and we were wonderfully surprised how great it was. The food, service, rooms, entertainment were second to none and I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anybody. The staff on the boat was very accommodating and we seemed to be waited on hand and foot and nothing was too much trouble. We had always wanted to go to Egypt and Kensington Tours offered exactly the trip we were hoping to get. We had trouble with our flights getting to Egypt but once we arrived we had no more problems. The Kensington staff greeted us and we knew we were ready for our holiday. The many shore excursions that we took were wonderful, informative and we always felt safe. We had the two most wonderful tour guides in Mahamoud A, Gebril and Lumiaa Touad Hafaar. Both guides could answer any question that we asked and being teachers we had plenty. But so many times they answered our questions before we could ask them. But what I liked the most about both guides was that they friendly, humorous and made us feel very special. The view from room was spectacular, and the water couldn't have been more beautiful. We swam often with a smile at all times.
