Great Plains is a vast stretch of grassland stretching from Mexico, through Texas (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio), all the way north into Canada. Midwest is anchored by Chicago and Detroit on the shores of the Great Lakes, and goes south through steel towns and farmland to St. Louis on the great Mississippi river.
