Milan, is the second largest city of Italy, located in the plains of Lombardy. It is the capital in the Province of Milan, as well as the regional capital of Lombardy. The city has a population of about 1.3 million, while the population of the urban area is estimated by Eurostat to be 3.08 million. The Milan metropolitan area, by far the largest in Italy, is estimated by OECD to have a population of 7.4 million. Milan is renowned as one of the world capitals of design and fashion. The English word millinery, referring to women's hats, is derived from the name of the city. The Lombard metropolis is famous for its fashion houses and shops (such as along via Montenapoleone) and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in the Piazza Duomo (reputed to be the world's oldest shopping mall). The city hosted the World Exposition in 1906 and will host the Universal Expo in 2015. Inhabitants of Milan are referred to as "Milanese" (Italian: Milanesi or informally Meneghini or Ambrosiani). Shaped like a V, Lake Como is home to some of the worlds most beautiful homes and villas. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe. When visiting Como, there are places to see and things to do. Like most Italian towns off the beaten track, these are not always obvious. The locals know where to go, but do not make it too obvious to strangers. Although when you arrive you are always welcome.

The Duomo is the world's third largest Catholic church; a fantastically ornate Gothic conception that sits in the centre of the city. Piazzas and art galleries boast sculptures and canvases from the most famous Italian artists of the Renaissance. Day 3
Milan Milan is world famous for its shopping! Begin your day from the heart of the luxury shopping area in Milan: Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga and Via Sant'Andrea, elegant streets that together with Via Manzoni, Via Borgospesso and Via Santo Spirito are the outer limits of the famous Fashion Quadrilatero. This area contains the most prestigious boutiques and showrooms in the world, full of minimalist design and high tech, that follow on without any and to this continuity, and provide a triumph of consumer stimulus that only a select few can respond to. In this square area, that is really extremely expensive, luxury is the true protagonist. Dazzling jewels created by the most famous name, clothes and accessories to die for, to be owned and flaunted, shoes that are works of art. Everything reeks of ostentation and the splendor of a chic, fashionable lifestyle. Many foreign tourists come to the showrooms and come out full of parcels, because Italian fashion continues to attract and fascinate the whole world, and Milan is the most representative symbol of all this.

Enjoy dinner at leisure (not included in tour price). Hotel Metropole Suisse is located near Torre del Comune, Cathedral of Como, and Volta Temple. This Como property provides a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a sauna. Other amenities include a coffee shop/café and conference rooms. From its podium at the foot of Lake Como, the small city of Como orchestrates the comings and goings around the lake as it has since first-century Romans made it their summer resort of choice. Long and narrow, Como cuts a deep gash into the mountains that rise steeply on either side. Even in winter, Lake Como is mild-tempered, its shores clothed in green and its afternoons often warm enough to enjoy from a table in one of its terrace cafés. Boats carrying locals and travellers to the idyllic steep-set shore towns begin here, all of them close enough for a day's excursion. The town itself does have its own attractions, most notably the cathedral, architecturally important due to its combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles.
