Day 1

Day 2
Kiev Enjoy a panoramic half day city tour with a private vehicle and English speaking Guide. During the tour, we will show you Kiev, the capital of Ukraine and the cradle of Eastern Slavonic states of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. It is a beautiful city with its centuries-old history and rich culture. The tour includes a visit to Vladimir’s Cathedral - the most prominent sacral painting complex of the late 19th century decorated by world renowned artists. You will get to examine magnificent mosaics and frescoes of St. Sophia Cathedral the oldest temple in the Eastern Slavonic states built at the beginning of the 11th century to glorify the victory of Prince Yaroslav the Wise over Pechenegs’ tribes. You will enjoy amazing views of two golden-domed monastery complexes while walking along Sophiiska and Mykhailivska Squares. The tour continues on to St. Andrew’s Church, a striking piece of baroque architecture from the 18th century, built according to the designs of well-known architect B.Rastrelli on the top of Vladimir’s Hill. Andriivskyi Uzviz, a descent that starts from St. Andrew’s Church will impress you with its unique atmosphere. It is a short street meandering down through the luxuriant vegetation of Vladimir’s Hill to the picturesque Podil. Numerous art galleries and shops of folk and applied art make this romantic street the cultural center of Kiev. The entrance fee to St. Sophia Cathedral is included in the tour cost. Enjoy lunch at leisure (not included in tour price). Take a visit to the Chernobyl museum in the company of an English speaking Guide with a private vehicle. The museum chronicles the biggest ever radioecological disaster which occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station in 1986, just 70 miles from Kiev.The bulk of this exhibition, including hundreds of photos and witnessed testimonials are shown to you through the medium of modern technical and audio/visual aids. Over seven thousand exhibits are on show in five different halls helping visitors understand what happened on that fateful day. Some of these exhibits contain items that originate within the Power Plant as well as items that come from people who died in the disaster. Maps, secret documents, photos and items from homes give you a better understanding of the lives people led here. Many exhibits are exposed for the first time and all demonstrate the negative effects a disaster like this has on our planet. The entrance fee is included in the tour cost and at the end of your tour you will be brought back to your hotel.

Day 3
Kiev Enjoy a full day tour to Pechersk Monastery and Pirogovo Museum. The monastery was set up in the mid 11th century. It is one of the most ancient monasteries in the territory of the Eastern Slavonic States. During this tour you will visit the underground labyrinths of caves, the excavated mummies of monks, the Museum of Treasures displaying the rich Scythian Gold collection and collection of the Judaic ritual silver objects, and the Museum of Microminiature. The reserve is situated on the picturesque hills and from the sightseeing place of Bell Tower, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the view over the gold-domed monastery complex and marvelous banks of Dnipro river. Continue your tour with a visit to the Ukraine National Museum, which preserved the culture of Ukrainian people and is located in the suburbs of the town of Pirogivo. Three hundred ancient rural huts, collected from all over Ukraine can be seen in Pirogovo. The majority of them were moved to the museum and then reconstructed. Huts, wooden churches, water and wind mills, clothes and kitchen utensils, dating back to the period of 17th beginning of the 20th century, give a realistic impression of this time period. During the tour you will gain a better knowledge of how the local inhabitants lived in the past. The entrance fee to the Museum is included in the tour cost. During the tour you will view the Opera house and drive on the most important boulevards. Continue your tour with a visit to the Art museum which was established in 1899 on the initiative of the Odessa Fine Arts Association in the palace designed by architect Franz Boffo. The collection reflects the history of painting from the old Russian icons, classical art and works by contemporary Odessa artists, showcasing the development in both the realistic and avant-garde trends. The Museum is located in the center of Odessa and has an underground grotto which is open for the visitors. The entrance fees to the museum are included in the tour cost.

Day 5
Odessa Enjoy a full day tour to Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the company of a private vehicle and English speakign Guide. Situated 85 km from Odesa it is one of the oldest towns in Ukraine. Visit the fortress - a priceless medieval historical and architectural monument. Located on the high bank of the Dniester River estuary and on the foundations of the antique town of Tyra (5thc.B.C.) the fortifications were renovated in 1433-1454 by the Turks and the round towers were connected with high ramparts to form an enclosed citadel with inner courtyards. After 1812 the fortress continued to be one of the strongholds of the south frontier defence system of the Russian Empire. Enjoy your time with your own vehicle and English Speaking guide and drive along the vinyards and Black Sea Coast before being dropped back at your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 6
Odessa Enjoy a half day tour of the catacombs in Odessa which appeared as a result of the extraction of the limestone used for the construction of the city. In times past, the catacombs gave shelter to the homeless, to those who were in hiding and pursued, and to the thieves and smugglers. They are mostly known for the use that the partisan movement in Odessa made of them during World War II. When the German and Romanian army occupied Odessa during the war, the Soviet Military headquarters gave the order to organize the partisan resistance. The partisan unit was fighting with the Nazi and Romanian army during the period of occupation. You'll walk in underground tunnels, where conditions of a partisan camp are reconstructed and where you will hear all about the history of the struggle. At the end of the tour you will be brought back to your hotel.

- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
- The price shown is per person, and does not include international air fare to/from the trip start point
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes. We will endeavour to confirm final hotel bookings as soon as possible.
- Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund less any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
