Afterwards, sail past the magnificent Grand Anse beach, round the tip of Point Salines, between the airport and tiny Glover Island, and along the scenic southern coast to Hog Island. Day 4
St. George's For this tour you will need walking shoes with some tread, and you will want to take insect repellent and a drink, so a small backpack is useful. It would also be wise to bring swimming things with you, or have them on underneath your clothing, as you will have the opportunity to take a dip in the pool. This walk is muddy in the rainy season, so do not come in your best clothes! It is not a difficult walk, but there will be some careful balancing required as you cross a stream on rounded stepping stones. You will need to be averagely fit and to have reasonable balancing ability. Some guests think this is a Sunday afternoon stroll: others find it an arduous and slippery route march. It all depends on your walking experience. Overnight at Tree Frog Villa. |

Day 5
St. George's Enjoy 2 1/2 hours of zooming along the west coast of the island aboard a little inflatable motor boat. These zodiac style boats allow for easy handling, ideal for sightseeing along the beautiful beaches and shallow inlet bays of this island paradise. Some time is also allotted to take a dip in the ocean for snorkelling and swimming, or spend this time period stretched out on the sandy beach collecting some sun-rays. Day 6
St. George's This unique day starts with 'flightseeing' over Grenada and the southern Grenadines. From 3500 - 4500 ft in a nine-seater aircraft you can trace your island tours and spot deserted beaches on uninhabited islands. The 25 minute flight takes you to the centre of an unspoilt archipelago - Union Island . You are met at the tiny airport and soon you board Scaramouche for a light pre-departure breakfast. Scaramouche is 80ft of pitchpine and white cedar; 60 tons of traditional island craftsmanship, built in Carriacou by local shipwrights. It offers the majestic feel of a big old schooner under sail: plenty of space and comfort, shade and sun. The catering is on a par with the scenery: an excellent lunch is freshly prepared on board. There are drinks all day. We can’t promise, but you might get to swim with some turtles. Snorkelling equipment, airport taxes in both countries and hotel transfers are all included in the price. Overnight at Tree Frog Villa. |

Day 7
St. George's Take a morning out in search of the ‘other’ locals, with names like Short Fin Pilot, Sei, Dwarf and Pigmy Sperm. That is just the whales, then there are the dolphins: common, Spotted, Bottle Nosed, Frazers… A sighting cannot be guaranteed, but even if the whales are out when you call, it’s an exhilarating morning on the water.
