A value tour of the top sights in Kanchanaburi province, including Erawan National Park, the famous Tiger Temple, Hell Fire Museum, and the River Kwai. One of Thailand’s largest provinces, Kanchanaburi is one of the least populated. Boasting massive expanses of tropical forest, Kanchanaburi is steeped in history and is home to a range of culturally diverse groups. Kanchanaburi is located where the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers converge into the Mae Klong river, where in 1942, under Japanese control, the famous Bridge on the River Kwai was built by prisoners of war (POWs). A memorial, two museums, and a war cemetery are located near the city. It is the easiest access point to the nearby Tiger Temple. The city's location at the edge of a mountain range keeps it much cooler than the other provinces of central Thailand.
Enjoy four star hotels while you immerse yourself in adventure, culture, and history. And with the comfort of Kensington's 24/7 support and seamless transfers and in-country arrangements, you simply show up and enjoy.

The resort offers four different styles of air-conditioned accomodations for your preference, Raftel (Thai Raft), Mountain Wing, River Wing, and our new wing, Royal Wing. Bangkok is a frequently chaotic jumble of traffic, temples, savory food and entertainment. Over the last few years, the opening of a slick new elevated tramway that enables visitors to glide over the chaotic scenes below, coupled with the cheap and frequent river boats and the reasonably priced air-conditioned taxis, have made tourism in the city newly appealing. Within the city limits is a wealth of over 300 Buddhist temple and shrines. Most famous are Wat Benchamabophit (Marble Temple), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and Wat Trimit (Temple of the Golden Buddha). One of the largest temple complexes in the country is Wat Pho. Altogether, there are over 30 individual temples scattered here, of which the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is the largest. The Buddha's statue is enormous, an amazing 47.5m (156ft) long and 15m (49ft) high. Wat Phra Kaeo is a temple complex that houses the Emerald Buddha.
