Region Specific Feedback :
Asia - "My trip to Thailand and Cambodia was the trip of a lifetime! Each aspect of the trip was covered by concerned and responsible guides who made sure each part of our trip was enjoyable and interesting. The hotels, in particular, The Tamarind Resort & Spa was outstanding. The staff was conscientious and helpful and the room was so comfortable it was like home! My next trip will definitely be booked with Kensington!" Darlene Owoc, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "Just returned from 2 weeks in Russia with Kensington. Although we didn’t get genuine leather luggage tags and passport cases what we did get were guides with a genuine knowledge of the area’s local culture and history who were able to share that knowledge with us. The trip went off without a hitch. Thanks, Ronne and Mike cosel " Mike Cosel, 2009
Europe - West - "It was a fabulous trip!!!!! Our individual guides were exceptional especially Vincenzo who took us to Petrona. He talked with the residents of Petrona and found the area of Petrona where my Grandmother would have grown up. He took us, with the help of residents, on a walking tour of the entire town. Every time someone was to meet us they were on time, very friendly and accommodating. The hotels were superb and the locations were perfect. Overall we had a fabulous vacation!!!!!!!! Thank you for all your time and expertise!!!!!" Tom Falbo, 2009
South America - "Our guides were excellent, especially in Bariloche and Mendoza, the hotels super and the organization outstanding. We were pampered at every spot and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Your organization planned everything in an excellent fashion to make the trip successful." Richard Gaberman, 2009
South America - "We are back at home. Wow, what a trip! Everything went off without a glitch. Every time we got off a plane there was a guide to direct us and the driver to take us where we needed to be. The accommodations everywhere were absolutely fabulous and the service impeccable. Our drivers were great and the guides were a wealth of information. These guides walked us through the nuances of each of the airports we were in and out of. We saw so much in ten days and learned a lot about these two countries and could never have done this on our own. We would not have known all the places we should see. This is our first time to use a travel planner for any travel even though we have traveled to a lot of other countries. We had heard so many horror stories about travel services, so we were a little leery until a friend recommended Kensington Tours. Thank you so much for making this a trip of a lifetime! We want to go to Africa in the spring of 2010 and hope you will be able to assist us with this and we do have some idea of what we would like to do. Karen and Dom " Karen Yezzi, 2009
South America - "The tours were simply excellent and the arrangements superb. Every flight was met without any problem and the guides were exceptional. I would recommend this tour agency as the best in every way." Richard Engelman, 2009
Africa - "On returning home from our trip to Kenya, I realized something. My dream had come true, I travelled to Africa and it was every thing I had dreamed of. The experience was over whelming, I would go back in a heart beat. In Nairobi, James greeted us at the airport upon our arrival and from his friendly smile, I knew my trip would be fulfilling. John, our tour guide was excellent to us during our three days of safari. I could have stayed forever. It was so breath taking, every turn taken was inspired by his knowlegde of the land. Micheal, in Mombasa, was ever so gracious in showing us his cities life style and the beauties that lay inside the city itself. Our trip was fantastic and I would recommend a trip to Africa thru Kensington tours to anyone who enjoys travelling. Thank you so much for the beautiful memories. Wendy and Rod, Niagara Falls, Canada. Oct.2009" Wendy Betts, 2009
Europe - West - "We had a wonderful time. All of the day trip arrangements were perfect - we were met promptly at our hotel and the guides and drivers were professional and knowledgeable. It made for a very relaxing trip not having to worry about all of those details." Pat O'Donnell, 2009
Central America - "We had a very good experience with Kensington tours and the entire vacation was enjoyable. Our guide Michael from San Jose who accompanied us to Tortuguero was exceptional in his attitude and was willing to accomodate anything we wanted to do or see. We will highly recommend him to anyone. The guide we had in Arenal was Gerald who was a very good guide as well as a good entertainer who took very good care of us esp when we went to Rio Celeste hike. Rio Celeste hike was very interesting and no tourists. All the drivers were very professional and on time. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and I would recommend Kensington tours for anyone who wants a personal tour where you can choose what you want to do or see." Jayanthi Balakrishnan, 2009
Europe - West - "We have recommended Kensington tours to friends and we liked the hotels as the locations were good. " Bill Augur, 2009
Europe - West - "I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip we enjoyed, with much thanks to your efforts. All your arrangements went off flawlessly and the guides and drivers were delightful. Our planned activities were a blast and just the right amount of busyness for us. The hotel in Sorrento was an excellent choice, too. The location was prime and we loved the boutique feel/treatment. Thanks again for your work and rest assured we will be contacting you again for future trips " Barbara Sartor, 2009
Europe - West - "What a awesome trip we had! It truly was a trip of a lifetime!! Your attention to details made our trip hassle free and so enjoyable--all we had to do was show up! We were truly amazed that everything went exactly as planned. When you said a guide or driver would meet us at 9 am they were always there 5-10 minutes early and so very helpful. All the hotels were first rate and were wonderful. I definitely will be booking more trips with you and have highly recommended you to friends. . All in all I cannot sing your praises enough!! We had the time of our lives!! " Nanette Beer, 2009
South America - "The trip truly exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with every aspect of the experience. We were quite ambitious in what we wanted to accomplish in a short period of time and the support that you arranged was excellent. Every guide exuded a sincere interest in making sure that we were well taken care of. The guides without exception were extraordinarily knowledgeable and went out of their way to insure that we enjoyed our time in Peru. The hotels were fantastic, the country breathtaking beautiful, the people open and friendly. Mary was amazed that she had the opportunity to meet and spend time with and in the homes of several world renowned weavers. We frequently travel with A&K, B&R so our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Your team did a fantastic job. The Hotels were all fantastic in their unique way. The Ramada in Lima was a perfect choice for convenience, but the service and willingness to accommodate our unusual schedule was exceptional. The Sumaq Hotel in Aguas Calients was probably our favourite, so much better than the Lodge. Lilia Paz Ceroni, Mariela Zamora Bornas, Angela Gissela Vizcarra Paredes, and Apolonio Flores Sulca were sincerely interested in insuring that were not only were well taken care but that we saw the beautiful country of Peru. We have numerous personal stories for each of these individuals on how they went beyond the call of duty, how friendly and knowledgeable each was. We are ready to travel with you again, especially if we can expect to meet more professionals like these fine individuals. We have already spoken very highly of your group to our friends and have recommended they travel to Peru too." Mike and Mary Earley, 2009
Egypt & Middle East - "The trip was great. You should know that Mohamed Seada was very helpful and efficient. He really went beyond what was expected. Also, Lamiaa Fouad Gafaar, our personal guide in Cairo and Alexandria, could not have been better. All four of us could not have been more pleased." Phillip Wilson, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "We returned from our Turkey trip late Thursday night. I am writing to let you know that we had an absolutely wonderful time there!! It was a trip of a lifetime!! The tours were great, and the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable. We enjoyed Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Bodrum. We highly recommend the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia for others taking the trip! It was spectacular and lots of fun!! Also, thanks so much for arranging the Turkish bath at the Ritz Carlton. It was excellent! Thanks again for making all of the arrangements for this trip and for being so helpful!! We will have very fond memories of this trip forever!! " Susan Baer, 2009
Europe - West - "I was pleased with the tour that I arranged with you. All was as I expected, very good. But I was amazed at the expertise of your driver/guide. He was exceptional in his knowledge of the area. More important was that he was a true gentleman and a delight. I never could have hoped for better. I truely felt welcomed. I will look forward to other tours with your company and especially hope to return to Italy one day. Thank you. " Leslie Massaro, 2009
Egypt & Middle East - "We just returned from 9 days in Egypt. The trip was beyond our expectations. From the time we were met at the airport by Mohammed Salah Seda until he said goodbye at the airport security line we were treated like royalty. We passed through Egyptian passport control as the very first customers and were on our way to the hotel in less that 15 minutes after exiting the aircraft. We never stood in any line when he was with us. Our first surprise was an upgraded room at the Meridian Pyramids hotel to a suite with a view of the pyramids. Our guide in Cairo, Ahmed S. Shehab El Din was amazing. Kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and accommodating he made sure that we saw everything that we wanted to see. Be sure and ask for him by name when you book and you will not be disappointed with your trip. Our guide on the cruise was also named Mohammed, but I failed to get his last name. He too was awesome. Knowledgeable and a delightful person with a fantastic understanding of the subject, his English was impeccable. Ask for him as well, you will not be disappointed. The cruise was a delight. The team that cleaned our cabin was two young men named Sami and Yasser Karim. They were so friendly and every day they created a delightful animal from a blanket and the towels which they placed on our bed to surprise and please us. Everyone on the ship made us feel like we were a part of their family. By the way the boat trip is a great place to have your laundry washed. The cost was so low and packing clean cloths is so much easier. We were able to pack less by using this strategy. Thanks Chris Brazos for the tip. Back in Cairo we were met again at the airport by Mohamed. He told that our hotel had been upgraded to the Sheraton and when we got there we had a room with a beautiful view of the Nile. What great care he took of us to make sure that our trip was just amazing. How many tour companies would give you two upgrades on the same trip without any additional cost? I contracted a case of traveler’s malaise and Ahmed arranged to have me seen by a doctor at the Cairo museum at no cost and she gave me enough medication to cure the condition including a shot that had me back on my feet in about 10 minutes. We modified our tour to spend a full day at the Cairo museum. My wife has been a student of ancient Egypt for over 30 years and for us it was time well spent. She had a list of things that she wanted to see and Ahmed was able to take her to each one and didn’t mind a bit when she went back a second time to some pieces that really interest her. Each of the guides when asked took us to shops that were clean, ethical and high quality and we purchased a few things with great confidence. Finally I would be remiss to not mention our driver in Cairo. He drove us with smoothness and care in traffic that would make most people prefer to walk. He was just amazing, polite and helpful in every way. Be sure and tip generously, these people worked hard for us and it was a pleasure to let them know it with a generous tip. We have never been in any situation where tipping was such a pleasure and felt so rewarding. They deserved every dollar that we gave them. One last thought. We never felt unwelcome or had a concern for our safety during the entire trip. Everyone was so welcoming that we felt like we were on a tour with old friends. We have traveled extensively all over the world but we have never been treated as good as we were on this trip by Kensington tours and their Egyptian affiliate. Give it a try, it is beyond compare. " Robert & Gabriele Van Meter, 2009
Europe - West - "Everything gets a 5 star! The Paris Trip was fabulous! Great trip and all the guides were great. So were airport pick ups. I would definitely recommend Kensington Tours to my friends. It was very memorable birthday trip. " Theresa Muchnok, 2009
Europe - West - "I just wanted to let you know that Kensington Tours did an amazing job in providing us with our Italian tour. The Tour Guides were very professional, and the hotel rooms were lovely. My expectations were not only met, but they were exceeded. " Margaret Margiotta, 2009
Europe - West - "We had a super time, currently relaxing in Tuscany. Will call you for a trip next year! The hotel accommodations were superb. Thanks again for everything." Michael Anderson, 2009
Asia - "Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time. The itinerary you mapped out for us was great and really gave us a flavor of for the country. Although we did not learn the language, we did get pretty proficient with chopsticks. We really had a wide range of experiences. There were many highlights, however of particular note was our time in Longsheng at the Li-An Lodge. What a treat. " Ben Andrews, 2009
Asia - "We are in the Beijing airport waiting to go home. A fantastic trip! You and your company did a great job for us. Thanks so much!! " Jane Smith, 2009
Africa - "We just returned from a 13 day Safari thru Kenya & Tanzania. Everything about this trip was exceptional. Karishma (Toronto) was very responsive, James (Nairobi) was very dilligent in making sure we were picked up at the airport on arrival, to reviewing our itinerary & keeping up with us along the way. However, we spent 13 days with our guide and driver (Raymond from Tanzania) who was absolutely professional, personable & knowledgeable, he made our trip the trip of a lifetime. Raymond, our thanks to you. The other thing special about this trip was that it was private so we were totally flexible which was outstanding. Food & accommodations were great. Our thanks to Kensington for having a good business model & the staff for executing a perfect trip. " Tom & Kathy Slade - Atlanta, 2009
Africa - "Our family trip to Kenya was amazing. Our guide Alois was experienced and knowledgeable and we highly recommend him. Thank you to Kensington for working with us to put together a comprehensive itinerary and book the accomodations we requested. It was a fantastic trip." Elana Levinson, 2009
Europe - West - "I just wanted to let you know that we had an awesome trip!! We saw so many wonderful places and met some wonderful people. We definitely used every minute we had there! The guides were great and on time and full of knowledge. I can't say enough good things about our guide in Cardiff. He was a pleasure to be around and just showed us so much! He definitely put us at ease with all of our time in Cardiff, and really opened our eyes to Wales! It was amazing! Anyway, I can't express enough how much we enjoyed the trip and how nice it was to have someone waiting for you when you are exhausted getting off of a train or plane. I would definitely recommend Kensington! Thank you so much! " Wanda Borganell, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "We took the 7 day Turkey Highlights tour and absolutely loved it. Our guides and drivers were fantastic! They were knowledgeable and couldn't have been more accommodating. The itinerary was extremely comprehensive. Make sure you are up for a lot of walking, steps and climbing if you are to enjoy everything there is to see. Turkey is a truly beautiful country and Kensington coordinated the perfect way to see it. " Sally Jones, 2009
Australia & Pacific - "We had a great time! We learned a few things that we would do different, like 7 days is not enough, for the next time. Even with the sand storm in Sydney, it didn't keep us from our plans that day, we were there during a history making event. Jessica, Thank you so much for putting together a great tour. All of it was fantastic especially The Great Barrier Reef. For the future, Ocean Spirit Cruise is very nice and well organized. We would highly recommend that to others. All of our private drivers were outstanding! Thank you again for all your hard work." Kathy, 2009
Europe - West - "We had a great time and everything worked out.....It was a great trip and everyone we met were fantastic." Chuck Batherson, 2009
Asia - "We absolutely thought that you did a phenomenal job of putting together a tour that included all the places that we wanted to see , that you did a great job of matching us to guides we would enjoy, and to a variety of hotels ( even though I said we weren't really 5 star girls, we did enjoy the lovely hotels as well as the more boutique type.) It was a nice mix. You have spoiled us completely. I can hardly wait to include Kensington in our next travel plans and have already recommended you, in particular, to many of my friends. " Susanne Smith, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "Just wanted to drop you a quick note and say thanks for organizing such a great trip in Greece -- the hotels were great, the ferry schedules allowed us to make the most of the days. Kensington Tours was just something I found while reading up on different travel sources and we didn't know anyone that had used your service or heard or your company. We have definitely become fans and will be recommending Kensington to others looking for alternative tour solutions. Hope to work with you again in the future -- we're thinking South Africa in 2010!" Kristy & Sapna, 2009
Europe - West - "You did a great Job. I was very impressed with You. Thank you again so much. You will definitely be scheduling all my future trips. " Sandra Jackson, 2009
Asia - "Hi Michael, We had an AMAZING trip, everything was perfect! Thank you to you and Norma for setting up this trip for us. " Jacob & Amanda Ricker-Gilbert, 2009
Asia - "It was my first time using a tour company rather than self booking an overseas trip. The whole process was easy. The trip was very enjoyable. The trip to the Great Wall was amazing. Agent was very informative and helpful. He quickly responded to my questions." Joe Rizzo, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "Bill and I returned more than 3 weeks ago from a very satisfying trip to Germany, Bulgaria, and Turkey organized by Kensington Tours, an agency that specializes in private tours at a cost, it claims, 30-40% less than the average luxury tour. (It has been rated Number 1 in adventure tours by National Geographic.) This is the second year we've traveled abroad with that agency and we have been very satisfied. (Last year we went to Romania & Hungary with Kensington. We used another agency, StayPoland, for Poland, which was also good.) I know I may be sounding like an advertisement, but having private guides & transportation allowed for a flexibility, expertise, reduction of stress, comfort, and personal attention that greatly enhanced our experience. All these are especially important in countries such as Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria (and Poland) that have shed Communism but 20 years ago and lack the exposure that Western Europe has had. And the fact that these places are not as westernized or as well-visited or as expensive as Western Europe adds to their appeal, at least to me. We can also have as much time to ourselves as we want. These trips are orientation tours for me &, now being orientated, I can visualize going back to some of these places with less dependence on personal guides (though I think they can always be an asset). Our basic itinerary included three nights in Frankfurt, Germany; seven in Turkey (three in Istanbul, two in a cave hotel in Cappadocia, and two more in Istanbul); and finally two nights in Munich, Germany. My desire was to see Bulgaria & Turkey. (I'm trying to become familiar with the former Soviet Block countries and..., well..., Turkey is right next to Bulgaria.... Adding Turkey turned out to be an excellent choice.) From Seattle our options for direct flights to Europe are very limited and do not include Bulgaria or Turkey. So we flew non-stop from Seattle to Frankfurt, Germany. In order to break up the flight, I decided to spend a few days in Germany coming and going. My expectations were low (Germany never appealed to me), but my appetite has been whetted & I would love to go back for more. Our first full day our guide gave us an orientation to Frankfurt itself. One of the highlights was lunch. Beer gardens most have heard of. But apple wine gardens? Apparently beer gardens are associated more with Bavaria (which includes Munich, venue of the well-known Oktoberfest), while apple wine gardens are part of the culture of the Hessen region, where Frankfurt is found. One of the photos is of an apple wine delivery truck delivering the wine through a hose, much like a truck delivering fuel to a gas station. In the next photo, below the sign of the Kanonesteppel Wine Garden where we dined hangs the wreath designating the establishment as an official apple wine garden. The following picture shows our hearty meals, including apple wine. Mine, I admit, was diluted with Fanta orange drink (what they called lemonade) to cut the bitterness. (The purist hostess reluctantly provided the soda after much persuasion by our guide.) I'm not much into the taste of most alcholic drinks, but as an anthropoligist I drank in the atmosphere of this traditional, family-friendly outdoor place where locals were imbibing the local beverage and/or consuming comfort food.. Often preferring the countryside to the large cities, when planning the trip I requested a drive outside of Frankfurt. The famous medieval town of Rothenburg and the village of Wurzburg were on the itinerary. However, the guide for the day (different from the first) inquired as to why we were scheduled to go there. When he found out that it was only because I asked for a ride into the countryside and those towns were placed on the itinerary, he recommended we spend less time on the freeway getting to those places more frequented by tourists and spend more time visiting places more off-the-beaten path and nearer Frankfurt. Since we were not wed to the idea of visiting Rothenburg or Wurzburg, I readily agreed and we were not disappointed. Our guide selected three quaint destinations: Seligenstadt with its half-timbered houses and Benedictine Patriarchal Einhard Basilica and former monastery gardens and cafe (in which we tasted bionade, a relatively new, non-alcocholic drink developed by a brewery and whose popularity is spreading throughout the country); the fairytale-like setting of Mespelbrunn Castle in Spessart, with its dark forest, pond, and swans (once the setting for a German movie); and Miltenberg, also with its castle high on a hill (which we didn't quite reach) and its cobble-stoned streets and traditional architecture. Our guide brought a stack of black-and-white photos of Rothenburg mounted on cardboard and taken by his great uncle in the early 1920s. Seeing my interest in photography, he generously allowed me to pick one to take. I owe him one, "a picture for a picture," he said. I agreed. From Frankfurt we flew to Sophia, the capital of Bulgaria. The hot temperature and high humidity challenged both Bill and me, but at least it didn't rain, though according to our guide, it was downpouring as he was driving to the airport to pick us up. Other than the weather, Bulgaria has much to offer. Well,.... not to be too abrupt, but, to be continued.... (Something to do with that four-letter word "work,"....) " Denise Lett, 2009
Europe - Central & East - "Hi Dana........Finally having overcome jet leg, we're still smiling over our most enjoyable family trip to the Baltic States, Poland and Germany. Thanks to your knowledge, persistence, continued negotiating, and the credibility of Kensington Tours, our trip went off without a hitch......we think that's a real accomplishment considering we were 6 people constantly on the move. We would be happy to use services of the Guides (and drivers) again. All were knowledgeable, pleasant and always a few minutes early. (We appreciated their answering multiple questions from our 2 teenagers-- and me!). We would Highly Recommend you and Kensington to anyone who wished to create a custom tour in the region! The hotels were as expected and very nice. The locations of the Grand Palace in Riga, the Stikliai in Vilnius, and the Royal Meridian in Warsaw were perfect, within or immediately adjacent to the old towns. The Krakow Sheraton was in a pleasant location and while a farther walk to the old town itself, had a beautiful view of the castle and river from the upgraded rooms. At the Sheraton we enjoyed a hotel with "American" amenities for a few days where we could wash out our clothes easily, etc, so it made a nice mix with the boutique restored hotels. The Kempinski Adlon in Berlin was beautifully appointed but the service was a bit uneven for a hotel that charges 7 euros for a bottle of water. The location can't be beaten though and the service blips were minor. By far our favorite driver was Mariusz Paniec in Krakow. His good nature, experience and excellent English made him a pleasure to meet each morning. He also knew a great deal and was happy to talk about his city and country--an interesting and friendly person without being intrusive, highly recommended. Also the drivers in Riga, Vilnius and Berlin were very good and recommended. Please give our thanks to your colleagues in each place.....they certainly kept the wheels running smoothly. (I have to say, having always made arrangements for guides, etc ). Dean was a bit apprehensive that somebody would not show up, but after the 1st day or so, he was convinced!). I was a bit apprehensive about the "local" guide (ie. at a specific location) but that worked perfectly too!). Anna, our guide to Pottsdam, had an exceptional knowledge ( due to her mother having worked in "archives") of Royal families who had lived there, making the palaces, etc., really come to life. The beauty of this trip for us was, not only the flawless logistics, but your choices of the places to see and visit. The individual guides willingly talking about recent history of the countries combined with the "historical," provided just the mix we were hoping for! Again, Many, many thanks for all your effort and I look forward to hearing from you anytime." Sarah Moor, 2009
Central America - "Wow! Kensington Tours and your local outfitter in Costa Rica made planning this trip a breeze. It was completely customized to our liking and everything was arranged so that we didn't have a thing to worry about during our trip. Rain ruined our planned excursion on day 2 and Kensington bent over backwards to rearrange things in our very busy itinerary so that we could still do everything we wanted to do. We were VERY impressed! I am definitely going to return to Kensington the next time I want to enjoy a tour!" Rob Burton, 2009
India & Area - "My trip to India was incredible, and I want to thank you for organizing the tours. They took very good care of us. The hotels were nice, and we felt very safe. The guides and the driver were fantastic. The guides were very knowledgeable and patient in answering all of our questions and waiting for us when I know we extended our slotted time in some places (like shopping). For instance, I went to the airport to depart and expected only a driver. I was very surprised and grateful to have another person with the driver who helped me enter the airport, obtain my boarding pass, and showed me where to get to security. " Cheryl Smith, 2009
India & Area - "We just arrived this morning from Delhi. The hotels, tour and driver were all excellent. We certainly got our monies worth. Thank you again for setting up this great trip. Prior to the golden triangle, we operated on 93 children with burns, cleft lip and palate at a medical school outside of Bangalore. Frank and Carolyn Walchak " Frank Walchak, 2009
Europe - West - "This trip was extremely well planned with excellent drivers and guides. Everything promised was delivered and much more! Perfect planning, thank you so much. " Karen Brown Fontenot, 2009
Central America - "Michael, Costa Rica is now Tracy and my new favorite place to visit! From the surfing in Nosara, to all of the adrenaline rushing activities, incredible hikes, great people, amazing views, freshest fruits every day, and all around awesomeness; Arenal is an amazing place everyone should get to. The Four Seasons in Papagayo were absolutely amazing, amazing! They treated us like royalty, and because it was slow for them, it was our own private resort! All of our guides/drivers were awesome in Costa Rica! As for Panama, Alvaro is an awesome guide and great human being! Panama’s country side is gorgeous! I would book people over there in a heartbeat! It is only an hour or so away. All the guides in Costa Rica and Alvaro in Panama were absolutely awesome with tons of knowledge, and ready to answer any question thrown at them. I think we might honeymoon every year in Costa Rica from now on! Thank you for your efforts. " Matthew Gross, 2009
South America - "Dear Andrea, We returned to Hawaii on Tuesday, September 15th from our trip to Peru. I want to thank you and the other members of the kensington tours staff who all contributed to making the trip a smooth one free from any angst or unpleasantness. Your local reps and guides and drivers were all professional, gracious and saw that everything moved smoothly. The hotels were truely fantastic as were the restuarants selected by the local guides to host our luncheon. I was very impressed and have been singing Kensington Tour's praises to friends and strangers alike. The Monasterio in Cuzco was unbelieveably grand and the meals truley gourmet. The Sanctuary at Macchu Pichu was also idyllic with excellent meals. The Inketerra eco friend lodge was also an idyllic retreat with great food and excursions. The staff at all of the hotels were exceedingly gracious, hospitable, and professional. Our guides in Lima and Cuzco were dynamite; they were knowledgeable, gracious and personable. The Orient Express Hiram Bingham train was truly a charming and delightful experience. The staff were also great in providing service above and beyond the call of duty. When we returned from Macchu Picchu, our rep and driver were no where to be found. The Orient Express staff called our local rep to discover when they would be arriving and were told that they were delyed due to traffic. The Orient Express staff remained at the train terminal with us until the local rep and driver arrived o pick us up. This thoughtfulness on the Orient Express staffs part was both unexpected and contributed to assuring us that all was under control. We were the last to leave the the station which was closing for the evening. I admit initially to having some apprehension but my fears were totally grondless. You and your team deserve accolades and high praise for being able to provide such a comprehensive package with out any flaws. Again, much praise to you and the other staff members at Kensington for insuring that my trip was a success. Both Erik and I are looking forward to our next Kensington tour to India. Aloha! " Tim Choy, 2009
South America - "Andrea - we got back yesterday, and I just wanted to say, that was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. We really enjoyed every part of it. Thank you so much for all your work in making this happen, and your responsiveness to all my questions. Really well done. What a great time!! Thanks again - " Jessica Franklin, 2009
Europe - West - "Thank you for all of your help on our trip to Italy. The hotel in Venice was wonderful and I would recommend always using it for your clients, the location and accommodations were first rate. Again thanks for your help and you will be hearing from other people that I recommend." Richard Nowak, 2009
Africa - "Our safari was everything we had hoped and more than we had anticipated. In short, it was wonderful. We were fortunate to have Raymond Sangawe as our guide and driver. He is very intelligent, well-informed and has a terrific sense of humor. The large number of mammals and birds exceeded our expectations. We looked forward to what we might encounter on each game drive. We commend Kensington Tours and its staff - expecially James in the Nairobi office and Bindu Dinesh, who was always available to answer our questions before the safari. Shirley and Robert Frankum Huntington, New York " ROBERT AND SHIRLEY FRANKUM, 2009
Europe - West - "The trip was great!!! Our private tours were all fantastic. The guides were knowledgeable and it was a treat to have them to ourselves. Anytime there is a choice between a group tour and a private one, I would pick the latter – hands down. " Heather Dalton, 2009
Central America - "I had a fantastic time in Panama and since I only had a week, Kensington Tours were able to organize a trip with tour guides that highlighted some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of Panama. My favorite part was Boquete and the Canopy cable ride. Fantastic." Michael McKeever, 2009
Asia - "Michael, thank you so much for making this trip so memorable for us. We’ve used A&K before and we kept saying we are getting the same height of service that we had received from A&K at a more reasonable price. And that is also one of the main reasons I would recommend Kensington. Our overall experience was wonderful. From the sites we were taken to, to our tour guides that were personable, protective, informative, and helpful what more could you ask for? Our hotels were perfect. We would recommend this itinerary to anyone. Michael Bertuzzi was very accommodating and helpful throughout our whole process for our trip to China. He willingly made changes that we wanted, and added great suggestions from his point of view. We never had to wait more than a day or two for a response from Michael. Europe - West - "My wife and I very much enjoyed our Italy vacation. The accomodations were very nice. All hotels were better than I had expected. The hotel staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. We greatly enjoyed the holiday and would use your services again when we travel to Europe. Thank you for everything." Michael Hartoin, 2009
Asia - "I wanted to write and tell you about my recent trip to China. The arrangements were wonderful. We were greeted at the airports in both Beijing and Xi'an and cradled by both sets of guides and drivers beautifully. They were pleasant, helpful, and informative. They adjusted to our pace wonderfully and were very gracious throughout. Our drivers were excellent and we never felt concerned despite the free-for-all that is Chinese traffic. We had a phenomenal time and will be happy to use your services again should we return to the area. Thank you very much for making our trip such a pleasure. " David Charney, 2009
